Titus Smith Named YSCC Player of the Week
Freshman, point guard, receives honor after leading the Knights to a 2-0 week
Freshman, point guard, Titus Smith was named Yankee Small College Conference player of the week. He led the men to a 2-0 week.
In the first game of the week at Hampshire College, Titus scored 30 points on 12-16 shooting from the field. he also added 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. In game two, Titus recorded a triple-double, scoring 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 12 assists.
Head Coach Alex Tyrrell was pleased for Titus to receive this honor.
"Titus has had a great start to the year for us, both on the floor and off it", said Coach Tyrrell. "He is a pleasure to coach and I look forward to seeing his progression this year".
The Knights are off to a 7-2 start for the year, the best since the 2011-2012 season. With a 5 game home stand to finish the first semester the team hopes to continue its strong play.
"November was a tough travel month for us with 7 games onthe road" said Coach Tyrrell. "We are excited to be at home for the next few weeks infront of a great home crowd".
