Ama Baker and Kevin Carr Earn Yankee Small College Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball Player of Week Honors

Player of the Week

Kevin Carr (Westminster, MD), a senior guard from Vermont Tech, is the YSCC and USCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second week in succession. On the week Carr averaged 29 points a game including a 40 point performance against USCAA Division I SUNY-Canton in which he scored 13 consecutive points in the final four minutes. Carr also contributed 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 steals for Vermont Tech during an undefeated 3-0 week.

Women’s Basketball

Player of the Week

Ama Baker (Fitchburg, MA), a sophomore point guard from Vermont Tech, is the YSCC and USCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Ama led the Knights to a 2-1 week highlighted by a 28 point, 14 rebound, 10 steal triple-double performance in a win against Unity College. For the week Baker tallied 66 points, 27 rebounds, 9 assists, 14 steals, and shot over 50% from the three-point line.
