Bio
Bob Godlewski is a highly experienced baseball coach and scout withover three decades of leadership in collegiate programs, player development, and baseball program creation. With more than three decades of leadership and success in collegiate baseball, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for developing athletes both on and off the field.
Over his career in higher education and baseball, Bob has:
- Achieved 528 collegiate wins and led teams to 11 national championship appearances in 21 years as a collegiate Head Coach.
- Earned multiple Coach of the Year honors
- Helped 62 players advance to professional baseball, while mentoring dozens of All-American and All-Region athletes
- Always exceeded recruitment goals
In addition to his impressive coaching record, Bob worked extensively in admissions and recruitment, traveling across Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Curacoa, Florida, and the northeastern United States to identify and support student-athletes. His dedication to helping athletes succeed academically and athletically has left a lasting impact across the programs he has led.
Bob’s experience extends beyond coaching. He spent seven years as a scout for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and founded notable baseball programs including the Belmont Baseball Club and the Schenectady Blue Jays, guiding teams to both national and international competitions. Currently, he also serves on the Board of Directors of the All American Amateur Baseball Association and as an advisor for the Africa Baseball Project and Best In Puerto Rico Showcase & Series.
He also has coached for the College of Saint Rose, Columbia Greene Community College, Castleton University, SUNY Adirondack and Bryant & Stratton College-Albany. From 2014-2018, he was head coach at the College of St. Joseph, restarting a program that was defunct for 7 years. He led his team to two USCAA World Series titles in 2016-2017. He then was coach at Bryant & Stratton College from 2019-2024 leading them to USCAA World Series National Runner-up in his first year.
Bob Godlewski emphasizes communication, contagious energy, character, and confidence as pillars of his coaching philosophy, guiding players to grow both on and off the baseball field.
Reviews describe him as a disciplinary and results focused coach, both on the field and in the classroom. He is most proud of his teams, during his 21 year tenure as a head coach having a team cumulative GPA always above 3.20.
