LADY KNIGHTS CLAIM DOMINANT WIN BEHIND RECORD PERFORMANCE FROM MARIELLE BENOIT
The Vermont State University Randolph women's basketball team delivered one of its strongest outings of the season in a 77–28 victory over Fisher College (MA). The Knights controlled the game from start to finish, showing balance, energy, and toughness across the lineup.
Leading the way was Marielle Benoit, who put together one of the most remarkable individual performances in program history. Benoit posted 42 points, 17 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block while shooting an efficient 18-of-31 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 at the free-throw line. Her presence on both ends of the floor set the tone early and carried throughout all four quarters.
The Knights also benefited from outstanding all-around play from Jasmine Mooney, who recorded a massive 16-point, 20-rebound double-double along with 11 assists, giving her a rare triple-double in the win. Contributions from Makayla French (10 points), Lily Kalakay, Kallista Tyler, and Nia Edwards further fueled VTSU Randolph's dominant team performance.
Randolph's defense held Fisher to just 14.7% shooting from the field and under 10% from three, showcasing the Knights' composure, communication, and hustle.
This victory represents a strong step forward for VTSU Randolph, reflecting their resilience and growth as a unit—while highlighting an unforgettable night from Marielle Benoit.
