KNIGHTS FALL IN BATTLE IN A HIGH-SCORING CONTEST
Albany, NY: The Vermont State University Randolph men's basketball team went wire-to-wire with Fisher College in a competitive, fast-paced matchup, ultimately falling 86–83 in a game that came down to the final possessions. The Knights showed their offensive firepower, with three starters scoring in double digits and the team shooting an efficient 48% from the field.
Jaylon Calvin led the Knights with a strong all-around performance, pouring in 23 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and dishing 7 assists while playing a full 45 minutes. Calvin's aggressiveness and playmaking kept Randolph within striking distance all evening.
Jaden Clark added 20 points on an impressive 9-of-15 shooting night, showing touch around the rim and poise in key moments. Will Jenkins also delivered a standout two-way effort, finishing with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals while knocking down a clutch three shots from beyond the arc. Senior forward Shandon J-D Anderson provided timely scoring with 11 points, including two clutch threes.
Despite the hard-fought effort, Fisher's balanced scoring attack—five players in double figures—proved just enough to seal the win. The Knights continued to fight until the final whistle, showing resilience and growth that will carry into future matchups.
