RANDOLPH DOMINATES BOTH ENDS IN 92-66 HOME WIN
Randolph Center, VT: Vermont State University Randolph closed out the weekend in dominant fashion on Sunday afternoon, defeating Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences 92–66 at SHAPE Gym to improve to 18–8 overall and 10–3 in conference play.
The Knights set the tone early, building a 37–27 lead at halftime behind efficient offense and active defense. Randolph continued to turn up the pressure after the break, outscoring Albany 55–39 in the second half to put the game out of reach.
Randolph shot an outstanding 55.2% from the field for the game and moved the ball effectively, finishing with 25 assists on 37 made field goals. The Knights also forced 18 turnovers and consistently converted defensive stops into transition opportunities.
Shandon J-D Anderson led all scorers with 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting, providing a steady presence throughout the game. Will Jenkins followed with 20 points, knocking down four three-pointers and adding five assists, while Vic Dueno added 16 points on efficient shooting.
Jaylon Calvin impacted the game in multiple ways, finishing with 9 points, 8 assists, 6 steals, and 3 blocks, anchoring the Knights on both ends of the floor. Azariah Hungerford contributed 13 points and 5 rebounds, continuing the balanced offensive effort.
Off the bench, Nate Decker added 8 points and 6 rebounds, while Randolph's depth allowed the Knights to maintain energy and tempo throughout the contest.
Albany was led by Alex Carrillo's 20 points, but the Knights limited the Panthers' perimeter shooting and pulled away with a strong second-half performance.
With the win, VTSU Randolph continues to surge in conference play and will look to carry that momentum forward as the regular season moves into its final stretch.
