VTC Earns Best USCAA Director's Cup in Program History
Norfolk,VA: Vermont Technical College Athletics finished 11th in the 2019-2020 United States Collegiate Athletic Associtation Director's Cup standings. This is the best finish in program history.
The Director's Cup is based on the results of the 2019 Fall Championships and the 2020 Basketball National Championships. Because of COVID-19, the 2020 Spring championship seasons were not a part of the tallying.
Both VTC Men's and Women's cross country teams competed in the national championships in Virginia Beach, VA. The women finished 5th overall, which is the best finish ever for the women's cross country team at Vermont Tech. The men's team placed 11th. The Men's Basketball team competed in the 2020 national tournament in Uniontown, PA. The Knights defeated Cincinnati-Claremont in the elite 8 to reach their second consectutive final four. The Track & Field teams were looking for strong results in 2020 after finishing 2nd (men) anad 3rd (women) at last year's USCAA National Invitational, but the season was canceled.
As a program, Vermont Tech accumulated 273.5 points finishing 7th amongst Division 2 schools.
