Randolph,VT- The Green Knights rebound from their first conference loss with a statement win over conference rival New Hampshire Technical Institute. After trailing 12-3, Knights forward Trekel Douglas hit three 3 point field goals to spark a 25-10 run for VTC. The Knights wouldn't give up the lead for the rest of the game winning 99-77.
Trekel Douglas tied his season high with 26 points on 8-13 shooting for the Knights. Chance Cole added 20 and Jeremiah Shaw finished with 17. Three more players for Vermont Tech finished in double figures (Dajuan Johnson, Richard Hibbert, Xavier Hicks). Point guard Dajuan Johnson also finished with 8 assist.
J'Quavious Thurmond had a respectable 16 points, 7 rebounds and Sean Riley finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the Lynx. NHTI falls to 5-2.
VTC will go into the Granite City shootout Friday with a 5-2 record. The Knights will face Norwich at 5pm on Friday.
