The Knights played their best defensive match all season against a very good Maine-Fort Kent team that had outscored their opponents 56-3 all season heading into their match with the Knights. Although on paper the Knights were out matched in all facets of the game. The organization in the Knights defensive half allowed them to keep the game within reach.
The knights held University of Maine Fort-Kent scoreless for the first 38 minutes of the first half. Comar Pascoe scored the first goal of the game when he headed a Alshane Linton corner kick into the upper right side of the goal. University of Maine Fort-Kent took a 1-0 lead into half time.
The Knights started the 2nd half with the same defensive mindset and attitude to try and keep the game within reach with hopes that they would make the best out of the opportunities they would create pushing forward in the 2nd half. Twenty nine minutes into the 2nd half Mark Parchment would score his first for 3 goals in a six minute span giving Maine Fort-Kent a 4-0 lead with 10 minutes left in the match.
Although the Knight may have played their best defensive match of the season, it was not enough to upset the University of Maine Fort-Kent side that with their victory move to 11-0 on the season and increased the number of goals they have scored on the season to 60, while still only allowing 3 goals against on the season.
