Phillip Hepburn (Milton, VT) took a Scott Durkee's punt down after Paul Smith's center back misplayed the ball and allowed it to slip under his foot and in the path of winder Phillip Hepburn (Milton, VT) who calmly slipped it past Paul Smith's goalkeeper.
In the 13th minute Dimitri Georgiadis (Charleston, NH) would give the Knights a two goal lead when he redirected a corner kick taken by Phillip Hepburn (Milton, VT) into the upper left corner of the goal.
Four minutes later the knights captain Matthew Brien (Colchester, VT) would head a Houston Cote (Bristol, VT) throw in past Paul Smith's College goal keeper Benjamin Kleptz. The Knights would take a solid 3-0 lead into half time.
